Carrie Tang is a filmmaker based between the U.S. and China. Her producing work, “200 Cigarettes from Now”, premiered at the International Film Festival Rotterdam and has screened at numerous international festivals, including the Hong Kong Arthouse Film Festival and the San Diego Asian Film Festival. She is an activist for women’s and LGBTQ rights in China, and is dedicated to stories about female empowerment, social justice, and intercultural perceptions.

In 2020, Tang joined the global advertising giant Ogilvy as a content producer and was a founding member of its content production department. Since then, she has created, produced, and directed TV commercials and branded content for iconic brands such as Coca-Cola, Huawei, Nestlé, and Volkswagen.

Currently, Tang is pursuing a joint MBA/MFA program in filmmaking at NYU. She holds a BA in Film Production from Emerson College, where she was a Luminary Scholar.
