Caitie Karasik

Logline: A plus-size woman wears a bikini to the beach for the first time, where a chance encounter with a young stranger forces her to face how she sees herself.

Bio: Caitie Karasik is a writer and director from Los Angeles. She holds a BA with Honors in Sociology from Stanford University. Her satire has been published in The New Yorker and McSweeney’s, among others, and her fiction in Split Lip Magazine. She is currently pursuing an MFA in film in the Graduate Film program at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.
