Logline: In the wake of her mother’s death, 12-year-old Maura struggles against her repressed family and domineering godmother to rescue the sanctity of her mother’s memory.

Bio: Ryan Benson is a New York City-based, North Carolina-raised writer/director, currently pursuing her MFA at NYU Tisch’s Graduate Film Program. Her films have been featured at Cucalorus, Toronto Women’s Film Festival, Vienna International Film Festival, and California Women’s Film Festival.
